The Boston Red Sox home is ready to house something new: a COVID-19 vaccination site.

Earlier this month, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced that Fenway Park would be a mass vaccination site starting February 1 – the second of its kind after the launch of Gillette Stadium as a vaccination site on February 18. January. The Fenway site is run by Cambridge- based health technology company, CIC Health.

“Mass vaccination sites, such as Fenway Park, are essential to the vaccine distribution process in our state – providing convenient, safe and efficient access for thousands of residents,” said Baker in a statement. “Upon joining Gillette Stadium, our administration is immensely grateful to the sports teams in our hometown for working to support the Commonwealth during the pandemic. We thank Red Sox and CIC Health for their partnership and hope to open more mass vaccination sites soon. “
