Clemson going virtual after Thanksgiving

Clemson University is going virtual after the Thanksgiving holiday until the end of the fall semester.

Citing 200 cases of Covid-19 that students can bring after the break, all classes will be online at the end of the semester, but students will not have to leave their dormitories and the campus will not be closed, according to a university launch.

The last day of face-to-face classes will be November 24th.

“The decision not to bring students back to campus for classes after the Thanksgiving holiday, we believe, gives us the best chance of completing the semester and greatly minimizes the possibility that some students will be forced to spend part of their vacation. year-end in quarantine or isolation, ”said the university statement.

No other changes have been announced.

The exams were scheduled to be taken online since the smester started.

Main high school football game canceled due to positive COVID tests

DHEC announces Thursday numbers

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control announced on Thursday 921 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 79 new probable cases. Forty additional confirmed deaths and 10 new probable deaths have also been reported.

The total number of confirmed cases has already reached 160,384, probable cases are at 7,101, confirmed deaths are at 3,526 and 229 probable deaths have been reported.

The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC on Wednesday across the state was 7,160, and the positive percentage was 12.9%.
