Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen has been revealed, and with it comes another seasonal script that runs from next Tuesday until mid-May, the usual three months. I thought you would like a more permanent place to reference the script than a tweet, hence this article, but you can view it in a bigger way here, as I doubt you can see everything so well.
I would also like to talk a little bit about what’s on the script and any surprises or not that we might encounter. Here are the main things that stood out for me after going through this:
– The main feature of the season are the new Battlegrounds events, which if I had to guess, being a combined activity of three men, it could be something that we see on the same scale as Forges. As far as we can tell, there are four in total and they are on Nessus, the Cosmodrome, the moon and … I’m not sure about the last one (Update: Europa, judging by the trailer). Unlike Forges, they can use existing map areas, I’m not sure yet.
– Destiny 1’s two replayed attacks, Fallen SABER and Devil’s Lair are being launched as soon as the season is live, although we still don’t know if they are integrated in the story in any way like The Disgraced in Beyond Light, or if they have been rewritten or will simply have original dialogues and final bosses.
– HELM’s new location has been a mystery to fans as it appears to be its own separate space, not in the current Tower. There are some theories that it is a rebuilt area in the old Tower, although not necessarily that the entire old Tower is coming to life. HELM looks like it will be our “investing coins in upgrading X for more bonuses” item this season, it looks like.

– One thing that is only covered in this script and nowhere else is the arrival of new Stasis Aspect missions. We don’t know how many (at least one per class, I’m guessing) or what form they will take (more checklists like last time or a real mission?). I am sure that any effects they have will not be controversial and will in no way affect PvP. I hope this continues the Clovis / Elsie story in Europe, so that we don’t completely abandon that place.
– Trials starts immediately with its new armor set, probably the most beautiful one we’ve seen this season, and the new trailer showed a new Trials hand cannon coming into mode. As far as we can tell, new Trials loot and new playlist lists seem to be the only things being added / focused on PvP this season.
– Just over a month after launching we have the new real strike for the season, Proving Grounds, which takes place in a moving tank, and I think the delay is because there will be some kind of seasonal story component in it that couldn’t happen right at the launch of the season. Strangely, Bungie is doing something in which season pass holders win the strike a week before F2P players. I mean, okay?

– Finally, we are doing Guardian Games as the end of the season and, although some people say that the armor sets remind them of SRL, I am not buying. There is a “closing ceremony” this time, although I am not sure what it will be, although I have heard some theories about the reopening of the old Tower. My only theory is that the Apparent Heir will return, and this time he will also receive a catalyst.
what it is not on here? A mysterious and exotic quest for a Tex Mechanica weapon that some people believe is the First Curse, but it may be brand new. And of course, Bungie may be hiding other secrets not listed anywhere.
A lot of that will depend on the quality of the serve and the seasonal activity, but I’m encouraged by what I’ve seen so far, so I’m certainly going to give the season a try. Stay tuned for more information.
