Current level assignments
In California, 53 of its 58 counties are in the purple layer (considered to be generalized risk), three counties are in the orange layer (moderate risk) and two are in the red layer (substantial risk) according to the state’s four-layer coronavirus screening system. Del Norte County is the only one to change since the last report – it went from purple to red on Tuesday.
As of November 24, the state had 41 counties in purple, 11 counties in red, four in orange, two in yellow.
