Here are the top 10 companies to work for in 2021, according to officials

The consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and the social unrest that shook the country in 2020 will continue to impact lives and livelihoods this year. Therefore, it is safe to say that many job seekers are looking for companies that prioritize the health and safety of their employees, offer flexibility and defend diversity and equality.

Look no further: the career website Glassdoor released its 13th annual list of the “100 best places to work” this week, which was compiled from anonymous feedback from employees who actually work at these companies. The workers fill out a review describing their work, the work environment and the company as an employer in the last year. And global management group Bain & Company tops the list of 2,021 employee awards, followed by technology company NVIDIA NVDA,
+ 0.35%
and In-N-Out hamburger.

“They came up with a very thoughtful COVID response plan and really improved their game on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion after the recent events in the United States,” wrote an anonymous Bain employee based in Chicago.

An In-N-Out employee said that the West Coast hamburger chain caters to “Incredible people, incredible leadership, I feel like I care about every day and we make the best hamburgers on the planet!”

Some other familiar names that make up the top 10 include Google GOOG,
+ 0.45%,
Delta Air Lines DAL,
+ 0.37%,
Lululemon LULU,
-1.34%
and Microsoft MSFT,
+ 0.66%.

“Especially with COVID, management’s priority has been employee well-being and comfort,” wrote a Delta employee.

Bain & Company, Apple AAPL,
+ 1.62%
and Google has been ranked on each of Glassdoor’s 100 best places to work since the beginning of the ranking, 13 years ago.

In fact, more than one in four (28, in fact) of the 100 best places to work in 2021 are technology companies, although Glassdoor notes that, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, there are six employers in biotechnology and pharmaceutical company among workers’ favorite companies this year, an increase of 200% over last year. They include Johnson & Johnson JNJ,
-0.15%
at No. 24, Pfizer PFE,
-0.86%
No. 39 and Eli Lilly and Company LLY,
+ 3.75%
in No. 87.

These health trends are in line with US News & World Report’s best job rankings, also released this week, which named the attending physician (average salary of $ 112,260 per year) as the best position to combine a six-figure salary with high job satisfaction. This was followed by the software developer ($ 107,510 per year); nurse ($ 110,700 per year); medical and health services manager ($ 100,980 per year); and doctor ($ 206,500 per year).

On the technology front, Glassdoor’s “50 best jobs in America” for 2020 named front-end engineers (computer programmers earning an average base salary of $ 105,240 per year) as the first, followed by the Java developer ($ 83,589 ), data scientist ($ 107,801), product manager ($ 117,713) and devops engineer ($ 107,310).

In addition, the cloud software company Salesforce CRM,
+ 1.23%
is the only employer to make all of Glassdoor’s five lists of the best companies to work for this year, including large companies in the United States, as well as the best places to work in Canada, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. “Inclusive, better pay and benefits, smarter coworkers, excellent COVID response,” said a Salesforce employee.
