Nintendo’s Indie World team revealed its list of the best-selling indie games for the Nintendo Switch in 2020.
Although the unclassified list does not include any details in terms of units sold, it does feature popular independent titles, such as Hades, Ori and the will of the Wisps, and Sakuna: of rice and ruin.
Other games that made the list include Streets Of Rage 4, Spiritfarer, To change, Carrion, What golf?, Shantae and the seven mermaids, Super Mega Baseball 3, Superliminal, The Jackbox Party Pack 7, Kentucky Route Zero, Crosscode, Bloodstained: Curse Of The Moon 2 and Neon Abyss.

Hades also won the number 3 spot in NMElist of the 20 best games of 2020. with Ewan Wilson praising the game for incorporating the players’ cycles of death into the narrative: “Dying running is not a failure, but it opens up the story more and further develops your character and your relationships”.
The game, which also won the Best Indie Game and Best Action Game awards at this year’s The Game Awards, recently received its cross-rescue update earlier this month. The update now allows players to transfer saved files between the Nintendo Switch and the PC.
Nintendo Of America President Doug Bowser has already eliminated rumors of a “professional” version of the Switch. He noted that although the Switch is in its fourth year, “we believe that we are only in the middle of the life cycle of this platform”.
