Bri Stauss and Chris Watson are listening to their hearts – and realized that it is time to move on.
AND! Notícias learned exclusively from the winning couple of The Bachelor: Listen to your heart decided to separate after about a year of dating.
In a joint statement to E! News, Bri and Chris said, “With deep admiration and respect for each other, we decided to end our relationship and go our separate ways. We will always look back on our journey with deep affection and will continue to support each other. Personally and professionally.”
The pair indicated that they could continue to record songs together. “We look forward to sharing more updates with all of you as we navigate our future making music together. Thank you all for your love, support and privacy,” they said.
Bri and Chris were together on the first night of Bachelor spinoff, which aired in April 2020. The musicians released an album together, called Chris and Bri, which included five songs they wrote and five romantic covers.

The first song they co-wrote was “I Do”. The couple explained earlier: “The lyrics balance the line of intimacy in our relationship with your public nature. You can find this clearly in the lyrics, ‘I fell in love on the TV screen, they don’t know you like me, I do.’ Love comes down to two people who are struggling to make the relationship work. “
In December, the duo released another album for Christmas, entitled Wrapped under the tree.
Bri wrote on Instagram at the time, “It’s hard. We are very proud of everything we achieved this year, despite the circumstances, and we feel SO lucky to have done everything we did. I hope you like it and that it makes your vacation a little more joyful. “
Chris also wrote: “In a year when everything fell apart, @bristauss and I were very blessed to share our music and our story with all of you. We did this project to bring a little light this Christmas.”
And when 2020 came to an end, Bri reflected on his monumental year. She said on Instagram: “This year was the best of my life”, thanks to her experience in Listen your heart.
However, it appears that the couple spent the New Year apart, while Chris shared photos of his family’s beach on social media and wrote, “Happy New Year to me and the Watson family!”
Chris and Bri won the show after the judges Rita Wilson, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Jason Tartick, Taye Diggs and Jewelery chose them instead of competitors Jamie Gabrielle and Trevor Holmes, which also split in June 2020.
It’s the second singles nation split this week, after Clare Crawley and Dale Moss gave up two months after the engagement aired.
