FAIRMONT, WV, April 6, 2021 / PRNewswire-PRWeb / – The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) has awarded Healthcare Management Solutions, LLC (HMS) a purchase contract / order to conduct research for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in long-term health care and non-long-term care facilities identified by DHEC.
The contract started on February 17, 2021, and continues for February 16, 2022, with a maximum end date of February 16, 2023.

HMS will conduct complete federal recertification / review / claim surveys for all types of facilities identified by DHEC, which may include:
- Qualified nursing facilities (SNF)
- End-stage kidney disease (ESRD)
- Hospice
- Home health agencies (HHA)
- Intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ICF / IID)
- All types of hospitals
- Outpatient Physiotherapy / Speech Therapy
- Comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facilities
- Rural Health Clinics (RHC)
- Outpatient Surgical Centers (ASC)
