The Hamilton County Department of Health received additional shipments of the COVID-19 vaccine and added days to the marking system.
The new first vaccination dose will be at Tennessee Riverpark Hubert Fry Center, 4301 Amnicola Highway. Enter the Riverpark near the entrance to Chattanooga State; do not enter Chattanooga state.
Look for signs.
This is for individuals with Phase 1a1 or 1a2 status who live or work in Hamilton County and reside in Hamilton County who are 75 years of age or older.
This will be Tuesday, as well as 24 January, 25, 26, 27, 30, 31 and 7 February.

Proof of compliance with the stage or residency criteria must be presented at the entrance. Proof of eligibility can be a document showing your employer’s current address, work permit, badge, letter or email or a payslip. You must provide proof that you live or work in Hamilton County.
In addition, new days of second dose vaccination have been announced.
These will be given in the Carta Bus Barn, 1617 Wilcox Blvd. Enter the last gate at the corner of Scholar Avenue and Camden Street.

This will be on February 1, 2 and 4.

Due to the high volume of calls, callers can hear a busy signal and need to continue to call back. As soon as the appointments are answered, the caller will hear a recording: “The call center is closed and the appointments are answered”.
Vaccine delivery is “phased” in accordance with the Tennessee State Vaccination Plan. Only those eligible in the current “phases” will be able to make an appointment. The current phases are 1a1, 1a2 (see below) and those who are 75 years or older, and all must be Hamilton County residents or work in Hamilton County.
Stage 1a1 groups:
· Hospital staff / independent emergency department with direct patient exposure and / or exposure to potentially infectious materials
· Home health team
· COVID-19 mass test site team
· Health students
· Long-term care facility staff and residents
· (Qualified nursing facilities, assisted living centers, homes for the elderly, DIDD residential centers, houses for groups)
· First respondents with direct public exposure
· Individuals> 18 years old who cannot live independently due to a serious chronic medical condition or intellectual or developmental disability
Phase 1a2 groups:
Other health professionals with direct exposure to the patient
· Primary care providers and staff
· Outpatient specialty providers and staff working with acute patients
· Pharmacists and staff
· Patient transport
· Outpatient therapists
· Urgent visit center providers and staff
· Environmental services
· Oral health providers
· Behavioral health providers
· Outpatient laboratory team working with COVID-19 samples
· Funeral / mortuary employees with direct contact with the dead
Age range:
· 75 years or older, must be a Hamilton County resident
· No specific medical condition is necessary
Please note that if you register for an appointment and are not in one of the current eligible phases or age groups, you may be refused until your level is open for vaccination. In addition, this can cause someone to miss the opportunity and hinder the limited supply of vaccine.
Steps to schedule your appointment
· The online scheduling system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and will remain open until all available appointments are fulfilled.
· The call center will be open on Sunday from 9 am to 2 pm or until all available commitments are fulfilled. The call center is closed on Monday, January 18, in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Important things to know before the appointment
· Do not arrive more than 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment.
· Wear appropriate clothing to get a shot in the upper arm
· Bring proof of residency in Hamilton County (if applicable)
· Bring proof of employment in Hamilton County (if applicable)
· Bring proof of age (if applicable)
· Bring the COVID-19 Vaccine Meeting form (if possible; form available for download on the registration page)
· Be prepared to wait 20 minutes after the photo
· Be prepared for the whole process to take an hour or more
When patients receive their first dose at the Department of Health, they receive a Vaccination Registration Card with the following important information. Keep this card and take it for the second dose.
• The vaccine manufacturer (Moderna or Pfizer)
• The date the first dose of the vaccine was given
• The date the second dose of the vaccine is due
