Dylan Farrow appeared in the HBO documentary series in four parts Allen v. Farrow Sunday night, where she talked about her relationship with Woody Allen, her foster father that Farrow claims to have sexually abused her as a child. The charges were first brought against Allen in 1992, but after a custody battle denied Allen’s visiting rights, Dylan’s mother, actress Mia Farrow, refused to file a criminal complaint. Although Allen has repeatedly denied the allegations in the almost 30 years since they were first made, in Allen v. Farrow, Farrow describes a disturbing relationship with his father.
“I mean, I adored him. He was so funny and made me feel very special. That’s where things get very, very complicated, because throughout all those good times, there was a lot more going on. Each time he appeared in the apartment, like a magnet, he just came right at me. Intense affection all the time, ”said Farrow, adding,“ I’ve always been in your clutches. He was always hunting me. “
Farrow opened up publicly about the alleged abuse in a 2014 letter in which she wrote: “I didn’t like it when he stuck his finger in my mouth. I didn’t like it when I had to go to bed with him under the sheets when he was in his underwear. ”Although the documentary has yet to air Farrow talking specifically about the sexual abuse she allegedly suffered, in two of the show’s most disturbing moments, Farrow spoke about both situations.
“I have memories of going to bed with him. He was in his underwear, and I was in his underwear, hugging, ”said Farrow. “I remember your breath on me. He would just wrap his body around me, very intimately. “
And Farrow described Allen doing much more than just putting his thumb in her mouth.
“I remember sitting on the stairs with him at the country house. There was no one else around and he was advising me on how to suck my finger, ”said Farrow,“ telling me what to do with my tongue. And I think it took a while. It felt like a long time. “
Allen v. Farrow airs on Sundays at 9pm HBO.
