HBO Max’s “Made for Love” stars a woman with a surveillance chip on her head

released a teaser for a series called Made for love, which can give you a good reason to avoid getting too close to tech billionaires. Cristin Milioti plays Hazel Green, a woman who escapes a decade-long oppressive marriage by fleeing to her hometown in the desert. Just one problem: Hazel’s husband implanted a surveillance chip in his mind.

Byron Gogol (a character with a wonderful name played by Billy Magnussen) can use the chip to track and observe Hazel and keep track of his “emotional data”. And somehow this is a comedy series. It is based on the eponymous novel by Alissa Nutting.

If the dystopian, -The esca premise left you sad, at least you can enjoy Ray Romano, who co-stars as Hazel’s father, giving a unique version of BeyoncĂ©’s “Crazy in Love” in the trailer. Oh, and your character’s partner seems to be one. Everything is happening here.

Made for love will arrive at HBO Max in April.
