Hasbro Scraps Star Wars Action Figures by Gina Carano

Last week, Lucasfilm severed relations with The MandalorianGina Carano, in posts on social networks that the studio considered “abominable”. It remains to be seen how the series’ producers will cope with the absence of his character in the third season. But it looks like we shouldn’t expect any new Cara Dune products to hit the shelves in the near future. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hasbro abandoned its plans to make more action figures based on the image of Carano. The company also canceled existing orders for the toys. That’s why Cara Dune’s toys will soon be much harder to find.

THR also obtained a statement from a spokeswoman for online retailer BigBadToyStore. You can read what she had to say below:

“THE Star Wars The Black Cara Dune number was released in 2020 and sold out not long after the stock was received, ”said the spokeswoman. “Hasbro planned another production run and we were taking orders for that production run. Due to recent events, Hasbro was no longer approved to produce more of this figure. “

Fans generally responded well to Mandalorian character since the series premiered on Disney + in 2019. But in recent months, she has received a reaction for mocking transgender pronouns, discouraging the use of masks during the pandemic and publicizing baseless allegations about widespread electoral fraud in the recent United States presidential election . However, the studio apparently had enough when Carano reshared a post comparing modern conservatives with Holocaust victims.

Rumors say Carano was also in line to star in the next Disney + film New Republic Rangers Series. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. Carano also needs a new representation now that his agency, UTA, has left her as a client.

About that, The Mandalorian season 3 will begin production in April. The new season could hit Disney + this fall.

What do you think of Hasbro’s decision to stop producing new Cara Dune dolls? Will you still buy them if you get the chance? Let us know in the comments section below!
