Harry Styles sang ‘Watermelon Sugar’ at the 2021 Grammy

Harry Styles opened the 2021 Grammy Awards with a sensual performance from his Thin line track “Watermelon Sugar.” Styles is nominated for the Grammy for the first time this year, winning nods in the category of Best Pop Vocal Album for his second year LP, as well as Best Pop Solo Performance (“Watermelon Sugar”) and Best Music Video (“Adore You”).

Styles took the stage in a leather suit and green feather boa to present his hit track, in a more taciturn tone than the recorded version. Along with him on the guitar was Dev Hynes (who performs under the name Blood Orange). Hynes added an electrifying solo while Styles took the time and performed his dance moves.

Thin line was released in December 2019 and has received several accolades since it debuted, mainly at the top of the Rolling Stone Table of 200 albums. He also entered the revised list of the 500 Best Albums of All Time, released last fall. Their singles “Watermelon Sugar” and “Adore You” were also big hits, both reaching the Top 20 in the ranking LOL 100

Like many artists being recognized at this year’s show, Styles should be on the road for an extensive tour to promote his second solo album. Instead of being on the road, Styles signed several film roles. He recently finished the psychological thriller directed by Olivia Wilde Do not worry, dear alongside Oscar nominee Florence Pugh and will soon begin filming an adaptation of the 2012 book My cop. So far, the tour dates for 2020 are tentatively scheduled for the end of this year.
