In March of last year, Harry only had good things to say about his ex while talking to Howard Stern.

Although many of Taylor’s ex-boyfriends talked about her using her romantic life to write songs, Harry said he was totally flattered to inspire his ex-girlfriend’s “great” compositions.

Asked how he felt about ex-boyfriends writing songs about him, he said to Howard: ‘I think about what it means for me to write a song about someone else and for someone else to do that, it’s like flattering.’

He went on to say to the shock athlete: ‘Even if the music isn’t so flattering, you still spent time on it and, ultimately, using Taylor as an example, she is a great songwriter. So, at least, they are good songs. ‘

Harry continued: ‘The only time you really think,’ is this song too personal? ‘Is it if you think, “is this going to be really annoying to the other person?” because I do [care]. ‘
