Needless to say, the video is already a hit with supporters of Styles and in less than 24 hours it has accumulated almost 4 million views on YouTube. Even the famous friend of Styles Lizzo was looking forward to the video dropping. As she commented on Instagram, “I’M WAITING FOR THIS 1 !!!”
While Styles didn’t say much more about his newest release, Gucci confirmed that the two actors wore designer looks customized for the video, which is not surprising, considering he has been linked to the brand for a long time.
Paul Roberts, the video’s choreographer, expressed his gratitude to the entire team after his debut. “01.01.21 QUE HUMOR”, wrote Roberts on Instagram. “I am sincerely grateful for this creation and its process, but most of all, I am grateful for this man [sic] loyalty, friendship and continued belief in me. For the most wonderful (in every way) #pheobewallerbridge that gave everything – You bring the best snacks to the table. Thanks to my winger Stevie Jazz @jaredhageman You are absolutely brilliant! Big boys @ fulwell73productions @ gabeturner73 @bigboturner who is [sic] passion and art were the driving force behind this music and dance film. When it comes to the overall look, maybe Derek Blasberg put it better in an Instagram comment: “2021 looks good already.”
