Harris Teeter announced on January 20, 2021 that he will supply COVID-19 vaccines in pharmacies across the company.
A company statement indicated that “it will distribute COVID-19 vaccines in a phased approach to eligible individuals, following federal and state guidelines when available to pharmacies. Harris Teeter pharmacies have been approved for limited distribution of COVID-19 vaccine to individuals eligible through partnerships with federal and state health departments. According to local and state implantation plans, the vaccine will be administered at its 211 pharmacies based on availability. “
The vaccine will be free and will be available to eligible individuals only by appointment, while supplies last. Availability and eligibility information for Harris Teeter locations in each state can be found at www.harristeeter.com/covidcare.
At the moment, the only state that allows nominations is South Carolina.
“Harris Teeter’s trusted pharmacists remain committed to helping our patients and associates live healthier lives,” said Danna Robinson, communications manager at Harris Teeter. “Our teams are working tirelessly to build an ongoing process for patients to check the availability and eligibility of the vaccine, schedule their appointments and ask questions about the vaccination process.”
Those by appointment will need to provide a valid driver’s license or government-issued identification card, according to Harris Teeter. The vaccine will be free, but patients with health insurance must bring their insurance card.
