“We continue to work efficiently. We have to be patient. There will not be enough supply until probably the end of spring or summer for most people. But we are doing what we can to ensure that there is a fair and equitable approach. It will not be resolved overnight, “said Hidalgo.
During Thursday’s conference, Hidalgo added that the county will supply all of its supply by the end of the week, but for anyone concerned about the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, Hidalgo said he shouldn’t worry.

“You will be scheduled for the second dose,” she said. “As of this week, we have administered about 4,000 doses. We have a system in Harris County to monitor. The state and federal government have ensured that we will continue to receive doses.”
Harris County has received about 9,000 doses a week and expects to receive 30,000 a week soon.
“We continue to request more doses from the federal and state government. We need supply chains to catch up, ”she said.
