Fox News presenter Sean Hannity reacted on Wednesday night to reports suggesting that House Democrats were asking President Biden to resign his nuclear authority.
In his monologue “Hannity”, Hannity called the effort “totally humiliating” for Biden, whose cognitive ability was regularly questioned during the 2020 presidential campaign.
A letter signed by three dozen House Democrats allegedly asks Biden, 78, to relinquish his exclusive authority to launch nuclear weapons.
“It must be downright humiliating for Joe Biden,” said Hannity.

Democratic lawmakers wrote: “Although any president presumably consults advisors before ordering a nuclear attack, there is no requirement to do so. Democrats offered some alternatives to exclusive nuclear authority, such as requiring the vice president and mayor to agree to a president’s launch order before being executed, according to Politico.
“They didn’t propose that even when Donald Trump was president – and everyone hated Donald Trump,” said Hannity.

The effort indicates growing concern among lawmakers on both sides of the corridor about Biden’s cognitive ability, Hannity said.
