This last look at the next fourth season in The Handmaid’s Tale, we see that Gilead is finally on the brink of civil war – and June (Elisabeth Moss) is leading the attack. She has the support of a growing rebel army and, it seems, the rest of the world is finally joining her cause.

Third season I had to do some convolutions to understand June’s decision to stay in Gilead, so I hope the long-awaited rebellion will pay off. (Don’t forget, there are at least one more season to go after that.) Take a look at the new teaser below.

The official synopsis is predictably vague: “June (Elisabeth Moss) retaliates against Gilead as a ferocious rebel leader, but the risks she takes bring new unexpected and dangerous challenges. Her search for justice and revenge threatens to consume her and destroy her most cherished relationships. ”

In addition to dropping that brief tease, Hulu today announced that the fourth season of 10 episodes will open on April 28 with its first three episodes, with new installments arriving weekly thereafter. Beside Moss, The Handmaid’s Tale also stars Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, OT Fagbenle (eventually set to appear in Marvel’s Black Widow), Amanda Brugel, Bradley Whitford and Sam Jaeger.
