Halo Infinite looks much better in these 4K images

We took our first look at Halo Infinite, the next game in the massive Microsoft franchise in July, and the results were … dismal. The graphics and visuals were not as impressive as you might expect from a next generation game (the demo was running on a PC “which is representative of the experience that gamers will have on the Xbox Series X”), and a vague- seeming enemy even became the infamous Craig meme. The game was postponed to 2021 a few weeks after the demo aired “to ensure that the team has adequate time to deliver a areola gaming experience that meets our vision. “

On Thursday, however, developer 343 Industries shared new images of Halo Infinite in 4K of a developing version of the PC game, and the graphics look A lot of Better. We’ve included some of the images below and I recommend checking out the full-size versions on the Halo Waypoint blog and zooming in – the screenshots are full of details. (We also include direct links to the full-size images in the captions.)

As you look at them, there are a few caveats to keep in mind: we don’t know how powerful this PC is, we’re not seeing the game in motion, we don’t have a good idea of how the game now looks on consoles, and the screenshots of marketing doesn’t always translate into what you can see in the final product. Still, for areola fans who are looking forward to Halo Infinite, these screenshots make it look like the game will look great on the right hardware.
