Halo Infinite developer eliminates new rumor and some Xbox fans are not happy about it

Halo Infinite Developer 343 Industries has erased the latest rumors about the game circulating, displeasing many Xbox fans in the process. When Halo Infinite launches the 2021 holiday, it will do so through Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. However, a recent rumor stated that when the science fiction first-person shooter comes out next year, it will only be for three of the four platforms mentioned.

In case you missed it, a game developer’s LinkedIn page circled this week for leaving Xbox One off the list of platforms for which the game is in development. In other words, at the time, it looked like the Xbox One version of the game could have been canned.

In addressing this speculation, John Junyszek, community manager at 343 Industries, stated that it was not true. Junyszek does not go into more detail, but there is little room to doubt the definitive character of the response, which was made when someone on Twitter asked the community manager if it was true that the Xbox One version had been dropped.

While Xbox One players who won’t go to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will soon be thrilled to hear that the next generation version of the game hasn’t been ruled out, many hardcore Xbox fans were really disappointed by Junyszek’s response citing the resources it wastes, the game being held back by Xbox One and the hypothetical development problems caused by the old hardware.

Halo Infinite is in development for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC and should be released sometime during the 2021 holiday, that is, between October and December 2021.
