Halo Infinite causes “never seen before” weapon

In a new question-and-answer video, 343 Industries developer Quinn DelHoyo teases a “never-before-seen” weapon that will be in the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC game at launch. Unfortunately, DelHoyo doesn’t say much more about this weapon, but suggests that it will fill the void left by the standard shotgun, which was removed in favor of a new automatic shotgun, dubbed the Bulldog.

Speaking of weapons, DelHoyo confirmed that new and classic weapons will be added to the game after launch and, of course, pre-existing weapons will be regularly adjusted and updated. That said, we won’t have to wait until the game’s release to see more new weapons. DelHoyo confirms that there are new weapons that 343 Industries has not yet revealed that will be available at launch.

Unfortunately, there is no news as to whether the classic shotgun will ever be one of those weapons. DelHoyo notes that there is room for the weapon in sandbox mode, but now it looks like it won’t be in multiplayer. If this happens, it will be reproduced as in classic games, or at least that will be the goal. DelHoyo notes that the team wants to ensure that all legacy weapons look the same as before.

More than with Halo 5, you have a feeling that 343 Industries is not just being extremely deliberate in everything they’re doing with Halo Infinite, but with a little more respect for the legacy of the series, which is why Halo Infinite exists in the first place.

There is no denying areola it was a much better and more popular product when Bungie was in charge, so if you’re 343 Industries, it’s smart to explore these legacy titles as much as you can.

Halo Infinite is in development for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC, and is due to be released worldwide this holiday season. For more coverage on sci-fi shooter and all things related to games, click here or check out the relevant links below:
