After joining Netflix on his directorial debut, Bruised, due out later this year, Halle Berry joined Our Man From Jersey for the streaming service.
Berry, 54, signed on to star in the spy thriller alongside Mark Wahlberg, according to Variety.
No director is in a position for the project at the moment, and it is unclear when or where filming may take place.

Although no details about the characters of Berry and Wahlberg have been given, the story is described as ‘a blue-collar James Bond’.
Wahlberg will also serve as a producer alongside his longtime production partner, Steven Levinson, following Netflix’s hit film Spenser Confidential.
Survivor-designated creator David Guggenheim wrote the script, which is based on an idea by Levinson.

Berry is well acquainted with the espionage game, having played Jinx in the 2002 James Bond film Die Another Day, alongside Pierce Brosnan.
She has focused on action-focused fairs in recent years, with roles in Kidnap, Kingsman: The Golden Circle and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
She also stars in her directorial debut, Bruised, as Jackie Justice, a disgraced MMA star who tries to relive her relationship with her son and her career at once.

It also has the big budget space thriller Moonfall, by director Roland Emmerich, also starring Patrick Wilson, Michael Pena and Donald Sutherland.
The project follows a trip by the space crew to the Moon after being hit by an asteroid and sent on a collision course with Earth, currently in post-production.
She also stars in The Mothership, playing a woman whose husband disappeared a year earlier, and finds a strange object under her home.

Wahlberg will be seen on the big screen in director Antoine Fuqua’s Infinite in theaters on September 24, starring Dylan O’Brien and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
He also stars Uncharted, alongside Tom Holland, based on the hit video game franchise, which arrives on February 11, 2022.
