Halle Berry is not allowing critics to get the best of her.
The 54-year-old star recently went to Instagram to share a simple and powerful quote: “Women owe you nothing.”
“And that’s in Mary had a little lamb,” she added in the caption.
Although the actress considered the quote pertinent, some of her followers were not very satisfied with what Berry had to say.

“With all your achievements, fame, beauty, it seems, as if, you CANNOT keep a man,” commented a viewer.

Berry did not accept, however, and clapped his hands back.
“Who said I wanted to be with them?” she asked. “I want to live your best life, if you make a wrong move, correct the course and turn again and start again!”
Her response was not enough to close further criticism, however, as another echoed the feeling that she “cannot be with a man”.
“Who said I want to be with the wrong man? Because … I don’t,” replied the Oscar winner.

When a commentator asked if Berry faced “problems with men in [her] life, “she replied,” No, they had problems with me. “
The star has a long romantic history, having been married three times.
She married former professional baseball player David Justice in 1993, before divorcing in 97. In 2001, she married singer Eric Benét and they divorced in 2005. Finally, she married actor Olivier Martinez in 2013 and they split up in 2016.

Outside of marriage, Berry had a long-term relationship with the Gabriel Aubry model from 2005-2010.
She shares her 12-year-old daughter, Nahla Ariela, with Aubry and her 7-year-old son, Maceo Robert, with Martinez.

More recently, the “Monster Ball” actress was associated with musician Van Hunt, who makes occasional appearances on his Instagram.
In December, Berry shared a photo of him wearing a shirt with the words “Van Hunt” and no pants.
