Hades developer shares 12-hour Christmas animation

Hades The developer Supergiant Games has a lovely little gift for anyone who wants to participate in the form of an animated 12-hour loop of a crackling autumn log from the House of Hades. The yule log video, which is very good, warm and cozy, was shared as part of a long missive thanking everyone for their support this year. And, after all, changing seasons is big business when it comes to the Underworld.

“Looking ahead, we are excited to be able to stay together as a team and continue making games,” said Supergiant Games. “Although it is still too early to say what’s next, we are really looking forward to finding that out. For the time being, of all of us, we wish you a happy, peaceful, warm and safe holiday, and all the best for next year.”

See how Supergiant Games describes Hades in store lists, if you still don’t know somehow:

“As the immortal Prince of the Underworld, you will wield the mythical powers and weapons of Olympus to break free from the clutches of the very god of the dead, while growing stronger and unraveling the story with each unique escape attempt.”

Hades is currently available for Nintendo Switch and PC. The Supergiant Games title was originally released on Early Access in late 2018 before being released in full earlier this year. Players take on the role of Zagreus, Prince of the Underworld, as he tries to break free from his father’s domain. You can check out all of our previous coverage of the popular video game here.
