Gwen Stefani invites Ellen DeGeneres to be her bridesmaid

Ellen DeGeneres is offering Gwen Stefani a helping hand on her upcoming nuptials with Blake Shelton.

Stefani, 51, appeared in Wednesday’s episode of the “Ellen DeGeneres Show”, when the subject of their marriage came up.

“You haven’t been here since you were engaged,” noted DeGeneres, 63. “What’s going on with wedding planning? I know Miley Cyrus said she would sing at your wedding.”

DeGeneres then asked, “Is there anything I can do?” before Stefani revealed a potential role for the talk show host.

“I was thinking about it a lot and … I was imagining, like, a mallow, like, bridesmaid [dress for you]. Maybe a bridesmaid, you know? “Stefani responded quickly.” We can put in some extensions, and we can make it complete, like, complete flower arrangements. All of those things. “

“Just tell me the time and place and I’ll be there,” replied DeGeneres cheerfully. “I don’t mind doing any of this for you because you are my friend and anything you ask for, I will wear it.”

“I’m going to put extensions on my hair – anything. That’s how much I love you, Gwen,” concluded DeGeneres.

Stefani and Shelton have been dating since 2015, after appearing on “The Voice” together as coaches the previous year.

The couple announced their engagement in October 2020 and are reportedly hoping to get married this year – but not without Stefani’s three children by her side.

In a March interview for Access, Shelton, 44, was asked about the moment he asked the question to No Doubt frontman, revealing that Stefani’s eldest son, Kingston, was with them all the time.

“It’s kind of a blur, honestly,” said Shelton. “I remember that after asking her, there was some crying and stuff and Gwen’s eldest son, Kingston, was sitting next to us when it happened.”

“And Gwen in a moment said, ‘Wait a minute, did I answer you? Did I say yes out loud? ‘ And even I was wondering, “Shelton recalled, noting that Kingston later intervened for confirmation.” And Kingston said, ‘Mom, yes, you did. I heard you say ‘Yes’, you said. “

“I don’t know how long it took, but that’s how it happened,” added Shelton.
