As the pandemic ushered in a new era of virtual restaurants and ghost kitchens, Guy Fieri began opening exclusive stores for delivery across the country. Fieri, the host of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, opened a trio of locations in the suburbs of Chicago. Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Kitchen serves messy fried foods like egg rolls with cheese, hamburgers and bacon-wrapped jalapeños stuffed with andouille cream and peppers.
Starters include delights such as chicken Parmesan with pepperoni and Cajun chicken Alfredo. Although Chicago is not ready for the treasures of Flavortown, customers in Lombard, Orland Park and Wheeling have been blessed with these luxuries. This is a collaboration with Virtual Dining Concepts, a company that has restaurants supported by luminaries like Mario Lopez (Saved by the bell) and singer Mariah Carey. Although not an affiliate, rapper Wiz Khalifa debuted HotBox by Wiz in Chicago last year using a similar formula.

Fieri attended Chicago on his TV show. He stopped at places like Smoque, BopNGrill and Big N Little’s. Since the pandemic hit the restaurant industry, Fieri has shown a charitable side by raising money for the workers behind the restaurants he highlighted. Also impressive is their friendship with Steve Harwell of Smash Mouth – the two share an incredible resemblance. Hey, man – last year Fieri was in Chicago to participate in the 2020 NBA All-Star Game.
The chain now has restaurants in 31 states, in addition to Washington, DC
