Guests banned after parachuting from the roof of a hotel in Nashville, causing a New Year party panic

Two hotel guests were banned from a Nashville hotel after jumping off the building’s roof using parachutes. The feat took place at the company’s bar and reportedly caused panic to customers celebrating New Year’s Eve.

The base jumping incident occurred at the Grand Hyatt Hotel just before 7 pm CT, Fox 13 reported.

A local resident, Amanda Bagley, was at the bar and filmed the scene, sharing the video with WKRN. After jumping, the men successfully slid into a nearby parking lot, where they got into a vehicle and drove away.

Grand Hyatt officials confirmed to Fox 17 that the men were staying at the hotel, but have already been evicted and banned.

“We strongly condemn this kind of reckless behavior,” the hotel said in a statement.

Police were called to the scene to investigate. On Saturday, the authorities were still trying to contact the men.

The incident came just a week after downtown Nashville was hit by a bomb on Christmas Day. The explosion killed the bomber and wounded several others. Dozens of buildings were damaged.
