Rockstar may be preparing to increase the marketing of GTA 6 or the next generation version of GTA V, since the developer is hiring someone to capture the images of the game.
It looks like a new list of Rockstar jobs may be suggesting that the company is preparing to reveal GTA 6. Many fans have hoped that the long-awaited follow-up to GTA 5 is around the corner following Red Dead Redemption 2launch and it looks like it might happen soon.
More than 7 years have passed since the launch of GTA 5 on Xbox 360 and PS3, and while that may seem like a long time, the game has been kept up to date. After a wealth of content updates, a port for PC and Xbox One / PS4 and all kinds of innovations for the game’s increasingly popular online mode, many wonder if Rockstar will ever want to walk away GTA 5. After all, why would the developer spend a lot of money on a new game if the last one still has a lot of life left? That said, considering the number of fans who are looking forward to the title, GTA 6 has the potential to far exceed the profits of its predecessor.

With that said, Rockstar is hiring someone to come on board as a “Filmmaking Capture Artist” (via DualShockers) This position is basically the person who would capture all the footage seen in the trailers, making them as cinematic as possible. Given that Rockstar has a knack for making trailers, that would basically boil down to being a videographer and game director. This allows the studio to use gameplay footage exclusively in the trailer, rather than making CG trailers or using conceptual footage, which means that what the studio shows in marketing will be very close to the final product.
The fact that Rockstar is hiring for this role probably means that the studio is about to start increasing the marketing of something. This can be GTA 6 or it could just be a new shot for GTA 5’s porta, which should feature new and exclusive content for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. Whatever the case, it looks like Rockstar is getting ready to present something in the coming weeks or months, and that in itself is already exciting.
It is not clear what this project will be, so fans should not be too excited about GTA 6 too soon. If this is GTA 6, will probably end or confirm some rumors, such as the inclusion of a female protagonist. It is also likely that, given the way Rockstar operates, this is just a teaser, and the game will not be released for another year or two. After all, the studio has an unfortunate habit of delaying games after revealing them.
