GTA 5 Update on PS5 and Xbox Series X Remaster Excited Grand Theft Auto Fans

Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive has provided an update on the PS5 and Xbox Series X version of GTA 5, which he described as an “expanded and enhanced” version of the game, but so far has not worked out what it means or has shown these improvements. Speaking at an event organized by Morgan Stanley, Take-Two Interactive’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, endeavored not only to launch remasters, but significant remasters. According to Zelnick, the personification of this strategy is the work that Rockstar Games is doing GTA 5 for the PS5 and Xbox Series X, which Zelnick says is more than just a simple door job.

“I’m not sure if they will be a bigger part of the strategy. Remastering has always been a part of the strategy,” said Zelnick, talking about Take-Two Interactive’s approach to remastering and whether they will be more focused in the future. “What we did differently from the competition is that we didn’t just transfer the titles. In fact, we took the time to do the best job possible, making the title different for the new release of the new technology we’re launching on.”

According to Zelnick, he thinks the quality of the remasters is a big reason why they do so well for the company. And to be fair, Take-Two Interactive does a good job remastering and remaking games, although last year’s game remastering Mafia 2 neither received this memo nor Zelnick, who praised the work that 2K did last year with the series.

Meanwhile, circling back to GTA and Rockstar Games, Zelnick noted that he is “confident” that Rockstar “will provide a great experience” that you would not get with a “simple door”.

Unfortunately, that’s all Zelnick had to say about the GTA 5 PS5 and Xbox Series X remastering. And when asked about GTA 6 during the same event, Zelnick was quick to evade the issue completely.
