Obsidian’s survival game, Grounded, has been updated across all platforms to address a number of issues raised by the community and more. The new update 0.8.1 is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC, and patch notes are described below.

Initially, bases built on certain objects will no longer return an “Unsupported” error when you attempt to load them. In addition, melee and ranged attacks should now be recorded more as they should, while you should experience less lag and hitching when looking at buildings. In addition, all backpacks that escape the game world will be synced back to you.

Outside of these corrections, the Grounded trail market for the “Weed Killer Peak” mission will now appear in the right place, while the insects you have filled can be placed on the furniture.

There are also some changes to the user interface. The hammer construction icons are now part of the “Toggle Trail Marker and Backpack” icon action, while the “Eat / Drink or Die” warning, along with the breath meter, should no longer be stuck on the screen after reappearing .

KEY COMMUNITY ISSUES

  • The bases built on certain objects will no longer be considered “unsupported” on loading and will not be retracted after being modified.
  • Customers will not fail to randomly record melee and ranged attacks.
  • Reduced delay / hitch when looking at buildings on large bases.
  • Backpacks that fall into the world for customers will end up syncing again with the correct position of the host.

GAMES

  • The trail marker for the BURG.L mission: “Weed Killer Peak” will now be in the right place if it already existed in your world.

ITEMS / EQUIPMENT / RESOURCES

  • The stuffed insects can once again be placed on the furniture.

CREATURES

  • Bees are not as clumsy with flowers and therefore release pollen less often.

PHOTO MODE

  • Hoop’s hair and other parts hanging from the chest armor should behave more appropriately in Photo Mode.

UI

  • Hammer construction icons are now included in the “Toggle trail marker and backpack icons” action.
  • The breath gauge and the “Eat / Drink or Die” warning elements are no longer stuck on the screen after rebirth.
  • O “[Type] The required tool warning “no longer overlaps the harvest resource name in the HUD.

AUDIO

  • Reverted the new changes from the base song of the day back to night music to continue working on it for a future update.
