The artists contributing to the next album include Channel Tres, ANNA and Julien Brecht, among others.

The remixed album will have two tracks remixed by Grimes herself, who recently debuted in a DJ mix that she presented to Apple Music.

As indicated by the title, the newly mixed songs will have a touch of EDM, in contrast to the industrial electropop sound from the original album.

The album was the last that Grimes produced for his ex-4AD label and it is unclear whether the remixed album will be released under the banner as well.

Miss Anthropocene vaguely follows a narrative centered around a divine embodiment of the continuing effects of climate change and was considered to be inspired by Roman mythology.

The album’s themes have also been removed from Grimes’ exposure to the press in recent years, due to his high-profile relationship with Tesla founder Elon Musk.

In an interview with Crack published just before the initial release of Miss Anthropocene, the musician talked about how she felt that her public perception was distorted and misinterpreted, to the detriment of her musicality.

“Without me doing anything, just by random association with other people, I saw my career and reputation completely destroyed,” she noted.
