The San Francisco 49ers maintained two of its top three priorities as a free agent – defender Kyle Juszczyk and full-back Jason Verrett. The team was unable to stop the other – facing Trent Williams – but the work to finalize a deal continues, according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano.
Whether or not the 49ers can re-sign Williams, it could impact the team’s entire off-season script.

The 49ers have made several offers, with no success so far. The fact that Williams is still available is a good sign. This means that no other team has made an attractive enough offer for the eight-time offensive Pro Bowl striker to declare that his time in San Francisco is over.
Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer wrote earlier today that he expects Williams to return to the 49ers. However, it will not be cheap. The offensive striker is expected to command a price tag of more than $ 20 million per season.
“I think he will be staying in San Francisco,” wrote Breer in his MMQB column. “But I don’t think the Niners will do this without paying more than they probably imagined they would have when they negotiated for him during last year’s draft and, as a result, I heard that they are willing to go to $ 20 million a year to maintain it. “
The 49ers switched to 32-year-old Williams last year after the striker dropped out of football a year. Williams had an impressive campaign in 2020 and was the most senior tackle in Pro Football Focus and the second most senior offensive lineman.
Williams allowed four sacks last season, but none came during his final nine games.

Trent Williams is a week away from becoming a free agent. The San Francisco 49ers would like to prevent this from happening. The team would love to re-sign the Pro Bowl offensive tackle eight times that it changed in the last off-season. What would it take? Williams offered tips this week while speaking to Richard Sherman and George Chahrouri on The Cris Collinsworth Podcast, which Sherman co-hosts. “I’m thinking this would be a longer deal,” said Williams. “Not anymore, but a four or five year contract that I’m probably looking for. I’m 32 now. I’m going to be 33 in July. I feel like I can play at a high level right in my (late) 30s, maybe early 40s. No I don’t know. I won’t make any promises. “Williams has played in the league since Washington

49ers options if LT Trent Williams goes free

The worst case scenario for the 49ers in this off-season would be to see left All-Pro player Trent Williams go free. In the last off-season, the team sent a choice in the third round for the Washington Football Team to acquire Williams, and then restructured its business to give it a small salary increase and included a text in the contract that stated that they would not use the franchise brand. him in 2021. Looking at the outstanding free agents in the tackle position, it’s easy to see that Trent Williams is by far the best player available. Williams said he would like to return to the 49ers, which is good news, but he also wants to test the market to determine its value, which can be bad news. There are enough teams with room for maximum limits, even with a tight season, and a need

Analysis of the 49ers list: Trent Williams, the key domino for the racing game

The blocking zone racing scheme has been a Kyle Shanahan staple for several years, with an emphasis on athletics in its offensive line attackers to highlight running backs. What can we expect from the offensive line and running backs this season? Regardless of who goes to the center, the 49ers have only two starting strikers going off-season with right-back Mike McGlinchey and left guard Laken Tomlinson. Weston Richburg, frequently injured, is about to retire while there is to be an open competition for the right guard. Versatile offensive striker Daniel Brunskill is a free agent with exclusive rights and was offered to a
