‘Grateful for my fast metabolism’

Jessica Szohr is showing love to her body, six weeks after giving birth to her first child.

THE gossip Girl the 35-year-old actress and her professional hockey boyfriend Brad Richardson welcomed daughter Bowie Ella on January 11, and in an Instagram post on Monday, she celebrates her body for her strength during and after pregnancy.

“It still surprises me that I grew a little human inside of me,” writes Szohr next to a trio of selfies in the mirror, while posing in waist-high sneakers. “My body became your home for 10 months.”

“While I’m looking forward to getting back to exercising, I’m grateful for my fast metabolism and I’m proud of my body … it’s tough and strong!” She adds. “And with the support of my waist trainer @bumpsuit – I always felt fit. I kept my middle region in one place and I didn’t feel uncomfortable … and, believe me, I know what’s uncomfortable;) # post- childbirth “

In her Instagram story, she also shared a January 15 setback, four days after giving birth. She smiles in the photo while wearing a breastfeeding bra that she said was “amazing”.

In a video in her Instagram story, Szohr explains why she felt empowered to praise her body for its strength, and how each one’s body is unique and special.

“First, I want to start by saying that each of you has an instrument that is so special and so unique and there is no other instrument out there. This is your body, ”she tells her followers. “This is really cool.”

“I’m posting some things about my body because postpartum is a really crazy journey,” she adds, laughing. “I just want to say that you are unique, special and radical … Really understand your body’s blessing and that no one else has it.”
