Graphic video shows deadly Uber Eats car theft by teenage girls

As an Uber Eats driver died on a sidewalk in Washington, DC, the two teenagers who allegedly stunned him and hijacked the car easily climbed out of the wreckage – and even tried to escape, new graphics video programs.

The video also records some of the last words spoken by the driver, Mohammad Anwar, a father of three who immigrated from Pakistan – “This is my car!”

Anwar, 66, died when he was thrown from the car to a sidewalk after the girls, aged 15 and 13, stunned him and took him away with him still clinging to the side of his Honda, officials say.

A 1: 27-minute cell phone video, recently posted on social media, begins with Anwar standing next to the parked car, apparently trying to get one of the teenagers off the wheel while the other, dressed in pink, can be seen in the passenger seat.

“They are thieves!” Anwar can be heard screaming as he leans towards the dark-colored Honda, struggling with the teenager in the passenger’s seat. “This is my car!”

Seconds later, with the driver’s side car door open and Anwar half in and half out, the car leaves at high speed.

The car hit a nearby metal barrier and a light pole, causing the driver’s open door to slam Anwar’s body violently.

The car then goes down the block and disappears, turning a corner on N Street SE before the sounds of an accident send witnesses who were recording Anwar’s fight running towards the ongoing wreckage.

The footage continues, showing the two girls skilfully jumping out of the vehicle with the help of National Guard troops in the area – and Anwar facedown on a nearby sidewalk, surrounded by rubble and apparently struggling to move.

It is unclear why the girls took aim at Anwar, who picked them up at the Navy Yard Metro station at about 4:30 pm Tuesday and took them a short distance from Nationals Park, close to where the fight started.

The teenagers are accused of willful murder and armed car theft and are being held pending the next hearing on March 31.
