GRAPEVINE, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – Grapevine police officers responded to an active threat call reported at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine at about 9 pm on Christmas.
Police said they had not confirmed the threat, but police, including a SWAT team, were investigating the scene.
The hotel was locked as a precaution.
A hotel guest sent CBS 11 a photo of a text message that they said was sent from the Great Wolf Lodge.
He asks guests to stay in their rooms because they “became aware of an emergency situation by a guest that there is a possible active sniper in the building”.

There are no reports of injuries, but a search for the person who reported the threat still continues after 11:30 pm on Friday.
A spokesman for the Great Wolf Lodge told CBS 11 around 11 pm: “The police are currently at our resort looking for an individual who made statements that threatened the safety of our guests. We have received no indication from the police authorities that this individual is armed. For the safety of our guests, the resort is currently blocked and we will continue to follow the example of the police authorities. “
