Graham traveled to Florida over the weekend to discuss the future of the Republican Party with Trump, who has indicated that he wants to remain the dominant force toward the mid-term elections of 2022 and the presidential elections of 2024.

“I want us to come together as much as possible. I think we need to come together to regain the majority. … The worst possible outcome for the Republican Party is to continue to argue among themselves,” Graham told reporters on Friday.

The meeting comes at a time when important divisions emerge between Republican lawmakers, who are struggling to figure out how to approach Trump after the January 6 attack on Capitol Hill.
