Governor Sisolak issues a new guideline related to live entertainment, distance requirements

CARSON CITY (KTNV) – In response to a request from Governor Steve Sisolak to reevaluate the existing requirements of 25 feet between artists and audience members and other measures to mitigate live entertainment and musical performance, the State Epidemiologist and public health consultants sent new recommendations.

The recommendations include a minimum separation of at least 6 feet for all live entertainment and presentations only if artists and performers wear a mask or facial cover at all times during the presentation, or a minimum separation of at least 12 feet for all entertainments and live performances when artists and performers are unmasked or temporarily and intermittently remove their masks or facial covers during performances. In addition to existing mitigation measures for entertainment and live performances, public health consultants also strongly recommend that artists participate in regular tests of COVID-19.
