Summer school in Virginia?
Speaking to the Washington Post on Thursday, Governor Ralph Northam talked about his plan to fix some of the disruptions in student learning.
“Our children definitely learn best when they are in a classroom. Social interaction is important. We have seen higher rates of depression, which is unfortunate.[…] One thing I think is very important that we will announce tomorrow is that we want to extend our classroom until this summer to allow our children to recover, so that everyone is ready in the fall. We are working with our teachers, school boards, superintendents, it should be a priority for all of us to bring our children back to the classroom, ”said Northam.
