Colorado (KRDO) – On Wednesday night, Governor Jared Polis issued a statement saying he is asking the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to move all counties at the Red Level on the dial to the Orange Level. If approved, this will take effect on Monday, January 4, 2021.
Governor Polis said that after reviewing the data, he saw that Colorado has been in sustained decline for 13 days, and only 73% of ICU beds across the state are in use.
He thanked the coloradanos for making an effort and making an effort to protect themselves and others. The governor encourages people to continue with this security mindset during the new year, to help prevent another blockade.
This change applies only to counties currently in Vermelho, which includes El Paso County and Pueblo County.
