Google’s dark mode makes ad lists more like organic lists

As we reported this morning, more researchers are seeing dark mode on Google Search with a button to turn off dark themes on Google Search. And while more are seeing the dark mode on Google Search, what are difficult to see are search ads or at least see what organic listings versus paid listings are. It is just more difficult to distinguish search ads in dark mode than in light mode. If Google made the ad label in white text in dark mode, this would work better than the gray font.

I think Google needs to label the ad in dark mode in white text so that it really stands out as much as in light mode.
