Google updates Gmail and other iOS apps for the first time in months

Google updated the Gmail app for iOS for the first time in months, along with Meet, Sheets, Documents, Calendar and Tasks. In addition to Tasks now supporting widgets on iOS 14, these are minor updates focused on bug fixes and performance improvements. It is the first time that Google has released new versions of these applications since Apple started forcing third-party developers to send nutrition privacy labels. He updated several YouTube apps in February.

Some other major Google iOS apps are still on the ice, however. The company hasn’t made any changes to the Chrome app since November. Google released the latest version of the Drive iOS app on December 7, the day before Apple made privacy labels mandatory. The Drive App Store page now includes a privacy label, but Chrome’s does not.
