Google tests redesign of Play Store settings

According to AndroidPolice, Google is running an A / B test on the Play Store. There is already a small work in progress that moves the contents of the hamburger menu to the account switcher. But based on screenshots taken by AndroidPolice, Google is also working on the app’s settings page to make it easier to use. The new settings page is divided into four submenus: General, User Controls, Family and About.
All four can be expanded by touching the downward pointing arrow next to each category. Of the four sections, the only new one is Family, which will feature a new Parental Guide link and the parental controls feature now found in User Controls. In addition, the Family section of the hamburger menu can also be found there. So, yes, most family-related entries are moved to the new Family section.

The end result is a cleaner settings page that, as mentioned above, makes things easier to use. Still, if you count the number of rings needed to get where you want, you may need to count one more. But when you get to the category you need, it will be quicker to find the exact listing; the combination can still save some time.
If you expect to see this test on your Android phone, you have a better chance of winning the lottery. Not only do we not know how widely Google is testing this, but it is a server-side update, which means that you cannot activate it; it all depends on the whim of Google. And, of course, if the test doesn’t meet Google’s hopes, the entire update can be dismissed and will never reach daylight.
