Apparently in direct response to all opponents who left the hole this month because of the company’s decision to close its in-house game development studios, Stadia reaffirmed its commitment, declaring that they will bring ‘more than 100 games to the platform. In fact, they abandoned the mention of nine games to whet our appetites, and we’re taking a look at them below! The titles listed here will be released in the coming weeks and months.
While none of these mentions are “new,” it’s good to remember how much time and energy the Stadia team has invested in its relationships with third-party developers and publishers to bring a varied and interesting title library to its cloud service.
While no longer having a studio that can produce exclusive items and helping them stand out in a crowded market is not exactly comforting, and we speculate about the future of potentially ‘renting’ their technology to creators, Stadia is nowhere near taking the boxing gloves, and they want us all to know that. Regardless of what the future holds, it is clear that the team there is dedicated to giving their all, regardless of setbacks and enemies.
