Google Podcasts has come a long way to compete with more feature podcast apps, but it has steadily improved, even gaining support for adding custom RSS feeds. Now, Google is bringing the web version more in line with mobile apps, revamping the subscription page to show a list of its most recent episodes.

On the Google Podcasts website, there’s a horizontal scrolling carousel of your signed programs at the top. Below that, the Subscriptions page now displays a list of the most recent episodes of the programs you have subscribed to, starting with the most recent. The publication time appears along with the art, title and description of the episode.

The subscription feed is very similar to what appears in the mobile application.

This change seems to be available to most people now, which is a good thing, as it looks like a very basic feature that probably should have been there from the start. If you’re expecting the ability to check the latest episodes of your podcast subscriptions, you can view them by visiting podcasts.google.com/subscriptions.
