Earlier this year, Google gave Photos a new look that featured a new Memories tab at the top of the app. With the year coming to an end, this guide is now picking up an “Analysis of the Year” story that will show you 2020 in photos and even allow you to generate a photo album if you wish.

The story will filter out all the images you uploaded to the cloud backup service this year. Like other Google Photo memories, you can tap the edges to jump or choose to view all the photos from a single day.

There is also the option to generate a book from all the memories you see in the story – you can tap “View book” in the bottom left and edit it to your liking. In addition to the memories you see in the story, Google will also add related photos that it thinks you might like.

If Google Photos has not notified you of the year under review, you may need to wait a while – the feature has not yet reached all users.
