Someone at B&H Photo Video jumped out of the gun and has already listed Google’s next-generation smart display, Nest Hub 2. Although the list does not reveal images, he is not shy about possibly providing everything you want to know about the device, including your price.

Hub 2 has a 7 inch (1024 x 600) screen accompanied by an ambient equalization sensor and a new color sensor to optimize the output based on the lighting. He might even hear it better now, as the device has an array of three microphones compared to the two microphones from his predecessor. The sound output, however, appears to be a downgrade, at least on paper. The passive radiators found in the Nest Hub bit the dust and the main driver is only slightly larger, at 43.5 mm.

However, there are some new sensors on board – a temperature sensor and a Soli radar. The first should be useful in configuring routines based on the ambient temperature (turn on the air conditioner if the temperature is above 80 ° F, for example). Although the list does not reveal what Soli will be used for, a previous report said it may have something to do with sleep tracking and motion detection.

We can expect some processing updates and other skills, but that was not detailed in the B&H list. What we have is the price and the colors in which the smart display will be available. In tune with Nest Audio, Nest Hub 2 will be available in chalk, charcoal, mist and sand (missing Sage). However, this is not all that both devices have in common. If the list is to be believed, they will also share a price of $ 99 – much lower than the $ 150 of the original cost of Nest Hub.

There is no news as to when the device will be officially announced, but the list reveals that pre-orders will start from March 30. Therefore, you will not be mistaken when you expect news from Google about this soon.
