Google has been testing a redesigned internal browser in its Android app for some time. Although it has not yet been implemented for all users, the browser is now taking a new feature that can suggest related content in a pull tab.
The “People see it too” card is revealed by swiping up on the bottom bar of the new browser in the app. It contains articles and videos related to the content you were viewing on Discover or Search.
To be worth it, this is not the first time that we have seen this card appear in the Google app for Android. In 2017, Google tested this idea with selected users, but it was never widely implemented. The apparent revival of this feature may be partly why the app abandoned Chrome’s custom tabs last year – more places for Google to launch content for you.
The card appears to be being released with the Google app beta version 12.4. However, none of my devices in this latest version have caught it yet, suggesting that this is still something that Google is switching on the server side.
