Google confirmed earlier this month that it has discontinued the large smart speaker Home Max. The company now recommends that people buy two Nest Audio speakers and connect them in stereo for a similar experience, but if you still want a deal Google has now refueled Home Max, possibly for the last time.

Home Max’s Google Store page still says the speaker is “sold out”, but you can add it to the cart for $ 179. Only charcoal appears to be available, not the Chalk version. This isn’t the cheapest speaker ever (Home Max cost $ 150 during Black Friday), but $ 179 is still a reasonable price for the sound quality and volume on offer.

Google said earlier that it would continue to support Home Max with software updates, but if you don’t want to take the company’s word for it, there’s an auxiliary port on the back. Whenever Home Max stops functioning as a smart speaker, you can still connect other devices for playback.
