The latest update to the Google Home companion app is being released on Android and iOS this morning. In addition to Home 2.34 adding support for the 2nd generation Nest Hub, the Google / Nest Wifi experience receives a major update with graphics of network usage.

Touching the round Wi-Fi button on the top shortcut row still opens the same page as before. However, the opening of the network card provides a new “speed and use” section to complement the “previous speed tests” – which now shows 15 results instead of just six.
The download and upload graphics show the “real-time usage” of your Google / Nest Wifi network with elegant animations as the data is loaded. “Usage” is displayed as a bar graph with increments of 1, 7 and 30 days. In the meantime, you can also see network information in real time by device. On the main page of the network, select a phone, tablet, computer, streaming device, etc. to see that division. An Information tab contains “device information” that was previously displayed as a pop-up.
These Nest Wifi usage charts were previously a major omission for the Google Home app. This information was only available on the old Google Wifi client, which is now about to be discontinued. Last year, Home added advanced Wifi settings and the ability to import existing networks.
Support for Nest Hub (2nd generation)
Google Home 2.34 also adds support for the new Nest Hub that was announced this morning and its ability to detect sleep, which is called “twilight” internally.

Google Workspace notices
When a user requests to join your home via an email from Google Workspace, the application adds strings that warn how administrators of that account will have access to your network. This notice is for companies, not your workspace / G Suite domains that you own.
Your administrators can also disable your ability to access Nest devices and services at any time.
The administrator of this account can have full access to this home using the username and password for this account.
It is not recommended to enter a home using a corporate Google Workspace account with external administrators.
